i sail during in summer in mykonos (high winds and in ftelia fairly high waves); 92 kg, my technical skills are not to great but the present board (112 L) is just to big for the strong wind (7 - 8 bft); what do you recommend?

Maybe the CrossIII 84 would be a good choice.

I would recommend a Starboard Atom:

Depending on your skills and the new board's allround capabilities you may consider a Cross 94. Having +2 liters of volume relative to your weight it of course sinks but can be sailed in quite a relaxed mode.
When you go to a board that is -8 liters compared to your body weight sailing will be much more demanding, especially if the conditions are variable.
On the other hand, if the wind is steady and you intend to keep your present board for lighter conditions then the Cross 84 will more fun (assuming basic skills in waterstart and jibing).

stephan > you should precise what sails (size) you are using in such wind conditions, it will be helpfull to recommend the correct board.
John I > maybe, both are boring...

Hi Stephan,
agree with PG. If you keep your 112l board, take the Cross 84. If you don’t, go for the 94.
Bob, I’m sure you’re reading fantasy-magazines at home, if it’s windy
with 7-8Bf. As far as you own a 68,5cm wide board… and not a Cross ;) !
