Sailed it lit yesterday lit up on my Aerotech Phantom 6.8 sail. Wow, what a ride. Wind was 15-26, and it had been ages since I've been on a go fast board and flat water. Instant planing, great angles into and off the wind, smooth ride, great top end speed, and very good turns for such a squarish board. Out board foot straps can get the board flying when totally lit. Been on wave gear so much I had my harness lines too far forward, and had to slide them back 5 cm for the wide tail stance. Once I remembered to lock and load the fin and sail, no more control issues.

Counter intuitive to raise the boom and move back the harness lines when lit up and out on the rail. For those that do not wish to do that, there are more inboard foot strap positions. Great design for the flat water blaster crowd.

Sounds great!

What fin size did you use?
(Maybe the fin that comes with this board)

Do you think that 8,5 Traction needs a bigger fin?

If you are pleased with that fin for 6.8, I think that same fin will be good for my 7,.2 sail (maybe also the 8,5)

Nice comments about the board!

sailed it with the stock fin today too. ideal for the board. used a 9.0 and it definitely could handle a 9.8, maybe larger with a larger fin. ridiculously easy to gybe. duck gybes easier than any other wide style board i've ever used. such a powerful tail, yet it turns with ease. what a great board!

I suppose you mean the Select RS7 47 cm when you talk about stock fiin?

Sounds even better, canīt wait (but have to, 30 cm of ice here in the sea)

Hi guys, i loved that board too. I tried a couple of weeks ago as a friend of mine bought it. I wanted to see how good it was as my friend came out of the water saying it was unbelievable easy.
It planned very easy and i felt i was going pretty quick so i came close to my slalom buddies and made a couple of runs against them. It was so funny as none of them could come close to me in speed.
When it came to jybing the board was killer. So easy, it felt like i was slam jybing and never loosing speed.
I was so surprised that i gave it to one of the guys that was on slalom and he destroyed me on it...i couldnt get him on his slalom stuff...!
if you can give it a try...i bought one for my girlfriend..
